This is a very short unit. Students will learn the five features of a city. When humans settled down, they created villages, towns and eventually small cities. This occurred when they learned to farm and herd, allowing them to control their food supply.
The assessment for the unit will be an essay. Students will write the essay during class time and type at home. Students will all receive a checklist and graphic organizers. The first graphic organizer we will complete together as a class. Students will use their class notes and a handout to complete the assignment.
